I’m not too sure if you’ve heard but Amazon Prime day is approaching (July 16th) and it is going to be epic! To get you prepared I have researched and found 10 reasons why Amazon Prime day is Christmas in July!!

Let’s start with the most obvious reason:

Sale prices on stuff I want to buy from Amazon!

There is a little something in the Amazon app that allows you to select an item that you’ve had your eye on and wait to see if it goes on sale. Now, I know what you’re thinking, “IF” it goes on sale? There is a good chance that you will see some sort of discount of some sort. You can start by downloading the Amazon app and simply add items to your list. Once on your list, you will receive an alert if something on your list goes on sale on Amazon Prime day! Yeeesssss!

It’s the “Suprise” factor of the Prime day shopping experience.

Not everyone likes surprises but these kind of surprises are my favorite. Last year the Amazon Echo was reduced from $179.00 to $89.99 and all Fossil smart watches were 40% off. This is just a tiny example of some products that were available last prime day. I can not wait to see what will be available this year.

Did somebody say Organic?

Whole Foods is now owned by Amazon and that means that Prime member receive extra discounts daily in stores. But, this Amazon Prime day Prime members will receive extra discounts throughout the store. In order to receive these discounts, you must first be a Prime member (duh!) and download the Whole Foods app and link it to your Amazon account.

Not all deals are lightning.

If you are a Prime member then there is a good chance you already know what a lightning deal is. These are deals on Amazon that are in limited supply and with a limited time frame to purchase. On Amazon Prime day there will be a whole slew of lightning deals but… you can search Amazon for products to see if they are on sale as well. If a particular product is on sale there will be a blue Prime day badge above the price indicating that it’s a prime deal. Pretty sweet!

Share the love!?!

As an Amazon Prime member, you are able to share your membership with another adult or teen in your household. This means that at NO ADDITIONAL COST you, you can add someone you love (or at least love to shop with) will have all access to the awesome benefits of using your Amazon Prime account.

Unlock a $5 discount just by using your camera.

Have you ever used the Amazon camera search feature? Well, me either. But on Prime day if you use that camera icon that is next to the search bar in the Amazon app you will find select deals that come with an additional $5 off the price. Sweet!

Earn 10% cash back on some purchases.

If you don’t already have the Amazon Visa card and you’re a Prime member you are seriously missing out. Each year during and around the holidays I have enough points on my Amazon Visa card to almost pay for all my Christmas gifts entirely. During Prime Day you will earn 10% back on all purchases made at any Whole foods store when paying with your Prime Visa card and there will be exclusive cash incentives on the Amazon site itself.

It’s time to feel the music.

I have to admit that I don’t have a subscription to the Amazon Prime Music library. But…that all changed this week when as part of the Amazon Prime day they offered a 4-month subscription for .99 cents. Well, that’s a deal I didn’t pass up. If you are a Prime member and enjoy jammin out then this is a steal of a deal for you.

A Membership for everyone!

Are you a college student? Or maybe a single parent just trying to make it? How about a die-hard gamer? There are specific memberships just for you. You may have never heard of Amazon Free Time Unlimited before but, if you have little ones in your house or maybe your grand or Godchildren it is a valuable and fun way for kids to learn. A one-year subscription usually runs about $83.00 but with the prime day savings, it will cost you $49.00. This subscription does require the use of an Amazon device like a fire tablet, but it just so happens that the kids’ Fire Tablets will be discounted for Amazon prime day! WOO HOO.
