My husband asked me to help him “boo” a few of his co-workers a long time ago. I of course being the extra person I am dove in and decorated their cubicals to the nines! I have seen some cute “You’ve been Booed” signage on Pinterest and thought that I should make some free printables for my readers.
If you have read my other blog posts then you know that I don’t celebrate Halloween so I hope that those of you who do celebrate like these free you’ve been booed signs and tags.

What is “Booing”?
“Booing” is a fun and festive Halloween tradition where neighbors leave treats and surprises for each other anonymously. It’s a great way to spread some holiday cheer and get into the Halloween spirit. The idea is simple: you create a “boo bag” filled with Halloween treats and a “you’ve been booed” sign, and then leave it on a neighbor’s doorstep. That neighbor then creates their own “boo bag” and passes it on to another neighbor, and so on, creating a chain of Halloween fun throughout the neighborhood.
Creating Your boo bag or basket
To participate in the “booing” tradition, you’ll need to create your boo bag or basket.
Start by gathering some Halloween treats and goodies, such as candy, stickers, small toys, or even spooky decorations. Then, print out our free “you’ve been booed” sign and pendants to include in the bag.
To assemble the bag, simply place the treats and goodies inside, along with the sign and pendants. Be sure to keep the contents of the bag a secret, as it’s all about creating a fun and mysterious surprise for your neighbors.
To help you get started with “booing,” we’ve created a free printable “you’ve been booed” sign and pendants that you can download and use for your boo bag or basket. I would also make sure to print a few extras to include in your basket so your recipient can pass the “booing” along!
Leaving Your boo bag or basket
Once your boo bag or basket is ready, it’s time to deliver it to a neighbor’s doorstep. Be sure to leave the bag anonymously, and include the sign and instructions for your neighbor to continue the “booing” tradition. You can also choose to add some extra Halloween decorations or spooky touches to make it even more fun.
