Need a super simple, highly impactful decoration? Try making these folded paper rosettes. I made these for my 40th birthday party, and they looked amazing.
I knew that I wanted something big that would cover a larger area and also something cheap and easy to make. I began my search on Pinterest, of course! There I found many different ideas but decided that I wanted to purchase some. After looking at Amazon, I found the perfect designs and color rosettes, but for a set of eight, they cost $19.99. Really? For paper rosettes. Nope. Just nope.

How to make a folded paper rosettes.
The size of the rosettes all depends on the size of the paper you start with. Here is a list of a few different sizes and the amount and size of the paper used to create them.
20-inch circle = 7 whole sheets of 8.5x 1, each sheet folded accordion-style and glued into one large circle.
12-inch circle = 2 sheets of 12×12 paper folded into three equal strips. Glue 5 of the pieces together to form a ring.
8- inch circle = 1 sheet of 8.5 x 11 split into four equal strips, glued into a circle and loosely scrunched together
6- inch circle = 1 sheet of 8.5 x 11 split into four equal pieces, glued into a circle tightly scrunched together
Supplies you will need to make these are:
Paper – You can choose any size paper you have on hand. I used card stock and scrapbooking paper in both 8.5 x 11 and 12 x 12 sizes.
Glue: I love the fast tack glue by Aleens, but again use what you have on hand.
Hot glue gun: Any old glue gun will work for this. Dollar store has them!
Scissors: A good pair of scissors will work just fine.

I believe that the final cost for the whole display is about $6.00. That includes the foam board and sawtooth picture frame mounts that I used. I have a large amount of paper on hand, so that contributed to not having to pay a ton, but go to the dollar store and pick up supplies there.
I was able to create the cutest e-vites and plan my party using invitations from the PaperlessPost.com. I love the selection of invitations and cards for all occasions and the option to have cards printed.
