Valentine’s day is only a few weeks away and I have an easy and cheap DIY for you to make. My tissue paper flowers make a cute decoration to cover a large heart or monogram. This is so easy even the little’s can help.

First, you will need to decide what you are covering with the tissue paper flowers. For this, I am going to cover a giant heart for Valentine’s day. But you could cover whatever you like.
To make a perfect large heart you will need to follow my directions for measuring and cutting your heart. Unless you are magical and can freehand a huge perfect heart?
I used a 12×12 piece of scrapbook paper and a large stool that is a cylinder. You will maybe need to find a large circle like a large pot or plate.
Measure a piece of cardboard 25 inches by 32 inches. place the sheet of scrapbook paper in a diamond shape and trace around the entire sheet.
Now place the circle you have chosen on the diamond making sure to line up the circle with each corner like shown. Trace around the entire circle.
You should now have a heart shape. Use a box cutter and cut out your heart very carefully.
Tissue paper flowers
To make the tissue paper flowers you will need the following supplies:
Tissue paper of your chosen color.
Scissors
I did use punches in the past to make these flowers but I decided that it is much easier just to use circular objects from around the house. For my circles, I use a roll of painters tape, a lid from a mason jar and the top of a Mod Podge container.
I used a total of 32 sheets of the peach tissue paper and only 8 sheets of the hot pink tissue. I decided that the peach color was what I wanted more of. But this is a SUPER versatile craft that you can customize to your liking so go crazy… or don’t, totally up to you.

Did you make this? Or maybe just use the flowers for something else? I would love to see it. If you do shoot me an email and I’ll feature it here on my blog.
Here is a list of things to buy your Valentine this year.

Well, I started out thinking “I’m never going to make these,” and now I’m going to make a whole bunch! Thanks!

Lol! Honestly, that was my exact thought years ago when I first made these. Since then I’ve added these flowers to a monogrammed letter, a cake, toppers for gifts and as decoration for a baby shower. They are so cheap and fast that they make a great addition to a lot of things.

Thank you so much. I thought they looked hard to make as well until I found out how to make them. They are so easy to make and can be used for so many different situations. Thank you DOR reading my sincerelysaturday.com and watching my YouTube channel.

Awesome flowers! I’ll have to give them a try sometime. I just wanted to comment and let you know I thought you might be interested in participating in The Great Ladybug Challenge, so I included you in my challenge post. There’s no time limit on making your ladybugs, and if you’re not interested or able to participate that’s okay too!

I am so obsessed with DIY arts and crafts. Recently I made an explosion box from cardboard paper and my brother literally loved it and no doubt, blogs like yours and https://dharapaper.com/blog/types-of-paper-for-art-a-definitive-guide-for-artists/ are such a great when it comes to searching for ideas.
