Hello all. I hope that you had a great holiday weekend. This weeks Wishlist Wednesday is really one born out of necessity. There are only a handful of things that I have on me at all times. Today, I wanted to share with you my top purse essentials and tell you why you may want to carry them with you as well.

My top 10 purse essentials

 

Hair ties: I have hair past my bum so having an assortment of hair ties is super important to me. Just because you don’t have long hair shouldn’t mean you don’t need them as well. They are super versatile and handy for helping wrangle wire or rope in a pinch.

Dental stuff: Okay I’ll admit it right now, I’m a dental freak of sorts. I ALWAYS have at least 3-5 dental related items in my purse. I don’t want stank breath…do you? Not to mention I was a dental assistant for 17 years. If you are able to only have one dental related item I would either go for floss or wisps. Floss is my #1 essential, it can be used in emergency situations and to cut a cake if the occasion calls for it. Waxed is the best for removing plaque efficiently.

 

GUM: Gum is my most used purse item. I honestly have not gone more than a day for the past 17 years without chewing gum. Mostly because when you work with kids you don’t want them telling you your breath stinks. Hahaha. Always make sure that you get a gum with xylitol in it. Xylitol is a sugar that the bacteria in your mouth can not use as a food source essentially starving the bacteria to death. Dramatic huh.

 

Hand sanitizer: Gross, yucky, sticky hands are not my idea of a good time! I always make my own hand sanitizer because I don’t like all the chemicals in the store-bought ones but if you don’t want to make your own here are a few good alternatives.

 

The TILE: I don’t know about you but sometimes I lose my keys. A lot of times! I bought the tile for the family during Christmas and they all love it. If you are absent-minded or have little’s that play with your keys then this is the cure for your craziness.

 

A good pen: How often do you need a pen and can’t find one in your car? I never leave home without one. How else are you going to get an autograph from your favorite reality star?

USB flash drive: I can not tell you how many times I needed a flash drive and didn’t have one. Honestly, I always have a couple of them. I also love to take my home videos and photos to show my friends. Also, all of our friends are technically inclined and have cool stuff to offer us as well so it helps to have the storage to take it home with us.

Lip treatment: A real no-brainer. I only wear nude or clear lip treatment so this is a very important purse essential. Fresh brand is the only lip treatment I use. It is pretty spendy for only one chapstick but it lasts FOREVER and is luxurious on your lips. Trust me.

Lotion: Another purse essential. I use it mostly on my face because of Eczema but I also love it for my hands. Neosporin makes the best eczema cream hands down!

Eye drops: For all the times you have gotten dust in your eye and didn’t have eye drops, do yourself a favor and put some in your purse! And maybe if you live in Oregon, Washington or Colorado you may need it for different reasons.

     

All of these products are great for men as well!
